2. What we process and why
Scenarios and invoices you submit: to produce the analysis you request (performance of the service, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Their content is not kept on our server once the answer is returned. IP address: security and request rate limiting (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)). Kept for 24 hours at most. Free-analysis counter: stored in your browser (localStorage), needed for the service. Cookies, IndexedDB and FingerprintJS: only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), to prevent abuse of free credits. Withdraw at any time via the “Cookies” link in the footer. Emails you send us: to reply.
2-A. Invoice checker
The invoice you upload (PDF or image) or the text you paste is sent, through our server, to Anthropic, only to be analysed and to produce the result. Our server does not keep the invoice or the result after the request has been processed. The transfer to the USA relies on the same standard contractual clauses described in section 3. Please do not upload personal data that is not needed for the check.
2-B. Readiness questionnaire
The questionnaire runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to our server and are not stored.
3. Recipients
OVH SAS (hosting, France). Anthropic PBC (AI model, USA): receives the scenario and any invoice you send, only to generate the answer. The transfer to the USA relies on the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission (Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914) under Article 46(2)(c) GDPR, included in the data processing addendum (DPA) that forms part of Anthropic's commercial terms. Cloudflare (delivery network and security) and Google Fonts (fonts): receive your IP address when pages load. jsDelivr (delivers the FingerprintJS library): only if you accept.
4. Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection: write to vatwise.eu@vatwise.org. You may complain to the Portuguese supervisory authority, CNPD (www.cnpd.pt), or your local authority.
5. Invoices with personal data
Please hide personal data that is not needed before uploading (names, addresses, private individuals' tax IDs).
